What I don’t Say from the ambo: Let’s get Ready to rumble

WWF became WWE, I’m a huge fan of wrestling. I remember when I was growing the feuds between Hulk Hogan and The Sheik or Andre the Giant (RIP) in Wrestle mania, or the time when Cindy Lauper became a wrestler with Captain Lou Albano… Memories… But what I recall the most is the phrase the was used by Mr. Michael Buffer (you can read more about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let’s_get_ready_to_rumble!) there was a lot of excitement when he announce that the main event was ready to start.

Thinking about this I have to say that we are wrestlers and that every single day we are wrestling with the devil every single moment, and we are wrestling for a big prize, our salvation. Sometimes he will be like the sneaky manager that will try to get us to win the battle using every tool that he have on hand in order to get to our soul, but we got someone bigger in our corner.

Jesus Christ is always in our corner giving us the strength to defeat the devil, we have to be like Hulk Hogan, you know what I mean? In the moment of desperation or when we feel that our strength are gone, we need to look at Him and get that second wind.

He will never abandon your corner… would you abandon His?

Please keep me in your prayers, you are in mine

Fr. Hector
